We've all talked about giving special in some form or another to those not in a royal court. Some suggestions were give a limit to digs, give specials based on spirit, ect.


Well, i have a suggestion that i think would be fair and work for everyone.


A specials lottery.

The way this would work is at 00:00 server time, each player in the game would be given 1 lottery ticket. They could then spend it on a lotter wheel. With the chance to win a special, or resources, or even a worker pack.

Paying members would get 2 lottery tickets per night. Because you have to get more for paying.


Basically, each night you can spin the wheel and get a chance to win 1 to 5 genies. 1 to 10 lamps, carpets, bellies. You can win 10k to 100k food/w/s/i/g. You could win 100 farmers or other workers, or you could win 100 each worker to 500 each or all workers. And you could win 1 to 10 additional lottery tickets.

The tickets would be non-transferable. You could save them up and run multiple one after the other.




The lottery wheel would be random on which items would show up on it. So each time you ran your ticket you wouldn't be guaranteed a chance to win a genie cause it may not be on the wheel at that time. It may be a resource/worker wheel, or a combo of specials and workers.

Other things could be added to it as well. I see it working something like this:


Genie = 10% chance of winning

Lamp = 40% chance of winning

carpet = 50% chance of winning

Belly dancer = 60% chance of winning

extra ticket = 1 ticket 20% chance, 5 tickets 5% chance

worker pack of 100 farmer/or stone/ or merch/ or ect. = 20% chance

worker pack of 100 all workers = 10% chance

worker pack of 500 of one type = 10% chance

worker pack of 500 of all type = 2 % chance ----> The worker packs can go over your population cap.

10k one type of resource = 60% chance

100k one type of resource = 40% chance

10K all resources = 20% chance

100k all resources = 10% chance



You get the idea here. Things could be added to it. But i don't think offense should be added in. Maybe some jani packs could work.

The wheel would be on a seperate screen like the genies are now. It would be nice to have it animated so it has pics of the stuff to win around it, and either a pointer that spins and stops at random.

But could be just a text form where you run it just like the lamp lottery. You click "use lottery ticket" and it randomly pops up what you won. Below the space it would list out all the stuff you could win and what % chance you have to win it. I think the lamp lottery code should work for this, but i really have no idea about that.




And yes, this is a hybrid idea off that other game. It would be a big help for players of all skill set. And with paying members getting 2 a night, and non-members getting 1 per night it would give another benefit to having membership.

Another thing about this.



If we did something like this, it could replace the idea of having a specials market. My idea of a specials market was to get specials to non members of the game. This would do exactly that without making it lean towards the rich player. It would be more equal to all players.

Hell, a ranked 1000 player could win the extra tickets and get more chances to play than a paying member.



And as for those who will suggest this would promote players making multi accounts, well, that happens now, and it will always happen. But with tickets non-transferable and the payouts not that big, i don't think it would make a huge deal breaker on the results.

instant CF time = 2% chance of winning (can be applied at anytime regardless of recent offensive activity, TiM would still come into play)

Extra CF hours 1 to 100 = 70% to 10%

I like the idea of this. However, it would create more incentive for players to make extra accounts for these items

Make them non-transferrable and it's a wonderful, make them transferrable and dishonest player #s will increase.

well, most of the items you could win wouldn't be transferable. But the chance of winning specials wouldn't be that big to make it a huge problem i think.




Also this would not replace any current specials you get, it would be in addition.

Then don't use it.

But it gives lower ranked players, and non members a chance at some more stuff.

For what it's worth, I still like it. I've been a non-Royal a couple of rounds, and what a pain in the ass it is to score any kind of specials besides lamps. +1 rbm

I thought they were going to do that anyway, and this could be added to that as well. biggrin.gif But seriously, this could be good for commoners(who might NEVER get a chance to use a special) and also give new players a chance to see why a membership is so worth it. Let them win a genie or two, couple carpets... that just might be enough incentive to convince them to buy a membership.

To powerful at the start of the round. If your going to have something like this make sure it isn't available right from the start. Can you imagine an elite player getting lucky and getting 500 of each worker or 100k of each resource on the first day? This could allow players to get an unfair start.

Either make the rewards much smaller or make it so that you can't start getting them until at least 1 or 2 weeks into the game.

To powerfull early on? Yeah I might agree with that. 2 to 3 weeks in it would be a great bonus but i think there would need to be a chance of winning absolutely nothing as well.

So to win a genie or 100k resources in the first weeks of the round the chance would be allot lower.

To win 1000 gold would be higher.



But still, imagine that a new player who has never played won the workers or big resource pack, think what that could do with their game. May get them hooked? Not everything revolves around the top 10 in this game. If it did, i would be talking into blank web space.

Your right and I get the idea of it. I would love to get more players hooked to the game. Instead of a lower chance just make it so that they unlock as the round goes on. 1st day rewards would be limited to 1k of a resource, 1k of all resources, a worker pack of 10, 1 genie/lamp/belly/carpet.
Add bigger stuff later, after 3 days unlock slightly bigger stuff, after 1 week a little more 2 weeks a lot more, 3 weeks everything unlocked.
